This blog began with the intention of tracking still life paintings by Dan Truth. Other types of paintings by him occasionally appeared. Recently he has determined to revise the initial focus of this blog to, gradually, include just about everything he has ever done in his artistic life. (May 2017) Most of the works on this blog have already been sold to private owners. (All rights reserved)
This still-life was rejected by the judge of the Old Lyme Art Association's themed exhibition entitled "In The RED". Competent paintings in which the color RED is emphatically featured were requested for submission. Anyone with optic nerves connected to a functioning cerebral cortex can see this work simply misses the mark.
